Paul James
Born in 1961 in rural Leicestershire, England, Paul James was greatly influenced by the haunting beauty of the Charnwood Forest, close to his childhood home. His animal paintings are full of character and his atmospheric landscapes quintessentially English.
Paul has received major accolades, including: Finalist, Not the Turner Prize, 2003 and 2004 (Mall Galleries, London); The Addenda Award, 2004 (Royal Birmingham Society of Artists); and People’s Favourite, 2004 (Royal West of England Academy, Bristol). In 2006 he received the Signature Membership of The Society of Animal Artists, New York, NY, USA.
The huge appeal of Paul James’s inimitable work is sought after by galleries and collectors, world wide, and we welcome him to Scottsdale and the Marshall-LeKAE Gallery.
